| Heather Rodenborg - Youth Director
Heather is a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Religious studies. She is a certified candidate for the ministry and an incoming student at Perkins School of Theology. |


Lori Stricker - Office Manager
Lori Stricker is the Office Manager and Financial Officer of First Church in Red Oak. She was born in Odessa, Texas, but has lived most of her life in the Dallas area. She has lived in Panama City, Panama; Alberta, Canada and several other states. She moved to Desoto in 1987 with her husband, Mike and two daughters, Bevin & Elizabeth. She has 5 grandchildren. Katelyn & Emma live in Red Oak and attend church at FUMCRO with their parents Elizabeth & Randy Sanden. Her daughter, Bevin King is a stay at home mom in California with her husband, Ryan, and three children, Ariana, Trevor and Reece.
Lori has been with FUMC Red Oak since November 2000. Her duties are many and varied. She is the Pastor's secretary and therefore usually the first person you see when you come into the office. She publishes the newsletter and bulletins, and handles all the financial records of the church from paying bills to registering the giving of every member. She is also the membership secretary for the church.
She has a bachelor of science degree in Vocational Home Economics with a life time Teacher's Certificate from East Texas State, now A&M Commerce in Commerce, Texas. Lori has had many years of experience with bookkeeping and secretarial work in the secular world as well as the church. Lori and Mike joined First UMC in 2003 and has since been very active in the church in the Choir, VBS, Sunday School and in the UM Women. |

Judy Cox - Nursery Director & Building Director
Judy Cox is in charge of taking care of the building and the nursery. She has been with the church for 12 years. She also works for the Red Oak ISD at the Acorn Academy. Judy's first love is the children in the nursery. She is responsible for keeping the building clean, the yard kept and loving your children as they grow. She is also behind the scenes opening the building 6 days a week and doing many different things.
Judy went on her Walk to Emmaus in 1998. She has encouraged many people to experience this faith walk. You usually see Judy helping out with different children's activities from Vacation Bible School, to Advent Event and the Easter Egg Hunt..
Judy grew up in Pennsylvania and came to Texas in 1981. She has two sons, Robert & Jason, a daughter, Mary, a daughter-in-law, Tiffany (Jason's wife), a granddaughter, Kaylee, and a grandson, Braylon.

Mary Voigtlander - Custodial Assistant
Hi! I have been at FUMC Red Oak almost my whole life. My mom is Judy, so I have been in the church a very long time. I am married to Chris, who works for Haliburton. I have a beautiful daughter, Kaylee, and a handsome son, Braylon. |
Sunmi Goodwin - Pianist
Sunmi came to our church as a student, majoring in piano performance at Southern Methodist University. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Music Degree and h work has been a gracious gift to God in the worship services at our church since 2000. Sunmi is originally from South Korea, but has made Texas her home. She has been a regular guest artist with the Richardson Symphony Orchestra and also assists her husband, Zhen Wu, with his art school. They live in Dallas and, in addition to their fine arts careers, spend time enjoying their small son, Ryan. She also enjoys teaching piano lessons to young people, and has several church members among her students. |


Christy Niven - PDO Director
Christy is a certified teacher, principal, and superintendent. She has 10 years of experience as a staff member at licensed day care facilities. She has been a stay-at-home mom since moving to Red Oak in 2007 with her husband, ROISD Superintendent Scott Niven and their children Mackenzie, Morgan and Matthew.
Christy's work experience also includes teaching at the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade levels, serving as director of Gifted and Talented and Career and Technology programs, working as assistant principal and also as principal of elementary schools in Texarkana.
